Our Story

Todd and I met online which isn’t really a shocker in todays technology run world, but there are a few things that make our story a little different

.

One night I was bored so I got on a chat site (that doesn’t even exist anymore) that connects you to random people all over the world. After being on there for awhile talking to people, I spilled the drink had beside me all over my cell phone. One of the people in the chat told me he was good with electronics and to message him personally so he could tell me how to fix my mess. That person was Todd.

I am so thankful that I am a total clutz because my mess lead me to the love of my life completely by chance.

Todd was smooth about the situation. After telling me how to fix my phone he then asked for my number so he could “make sure it worked”. After that first contact, the conversations never stopped. Our chats eventually progressed to Skype convos, phone calls, and texts and after a few months we quickly realized we were falling for one another. At the time Todd was living in Maine and I was living in Illinois, so distance was definitely an issue for moving forward with our relationship, but not a deal closer. Anything could happen if we just tried hard enough.

We continued with our talks more and more frequently and few months after we met, Todd traveled over 1,000 miles to meet me in person for the first time. It was obvious from that moment on that we never wanted to part. One week later we did something you usually only see in movies or read in books…We ran away together (no I’m not kidding haha). We drove all the way to Todd’s home in Maine from Illinois and moved in together. We haven’t parted since. We couldn’t be more excited to spend the rest of our lives together.
